This song is a big ass metaphor. I took the concept of tree pruning and related it to relationships. Sometimes you work so hard to grow a tree and have it looking maintained and presentable, that you lose sight of the natural beauty of the whole tree (relationship) The branches in life will always be there, but always remember and appreciate your roots.
